Aluminium 400% Be@rbrick

Oh mine!! This is not even a 1000% be@rbrick and guess how much this cost?? Just because it is made of aluminium, this 400% be@rbrick costs 525, 000 yen which is around SGD 8000. If i have this spare cash, frankly i would rather use it to travel. Would really love to see one of this one day.

Tokyo Skytree 100% Be@rbrick

Nex up, we have this Tokyo Skytree 100% be@rbrick to be released in June for 1600 yen.. Personally i feel that they should have one done in 400%. I feel quite therapeutic these days just looking at my blister board of 100%. And i may even consider getting the latest series, i.e Series 24. It doesnt take up much space and i can always keep them in the blister board. Maybe i should get a box and see whether i can score a NHBH chase!! (Pic: nupchu)

MARVEL 100% Be@rbrick

Marvel fans are in for a treat. Medicom is releasing be@rbricks of your favourite Marvel hero/villians. Personally i am not a fan of these even though i do like the movie and the comics. This is a bit too much for me. Anyway, you can actually preorder it now from Ebay.

"After recently invading Hong Kong for his Nicopanda Pop-Up shop at Lane Crawford, Nicola Formichetti mints a custom Medicom Toy Bearbrick aptly titled, “NICOPANDA.” The miniature novelty is mocked up in black and white and boasts Formichetti’s trademark Nicopanda design. Measuring in at 70mm, the 100% Bearbrick is slated for a May 2012 release through select stockists."

These days i have been thinking whether i should start collecting only wooden be@rbrick. The main reason is that they are not released that often. Most of the time is twice a year. I would be able to catch up. But one main reason that set me thinking is the price. More than $1000 a piece. That's a lot of money. What if i do not want them anymore, it will be really hard to sell them off. Anyway, back to the subject, this will be releases in October. Cool stuff!!

Naturally, the bears are being produced in exceptionally limited quantities — each, carrying two bags inspired by Yoshida’s iconic ‘Porter silhouette,’ used in the company’s classic branding campaigns.
